Apple Picking at Avila Barn in Santa Maria

In September, we took a trip up to Santa Maria to visit my sister Kim, her husband Mike and Cooper at their new house! While we were there, they took us to Avila Barn to pick apples from their huuuuuge apple orchards! WOW, that was so much fun! They also have a ton of animals to feed too, and the kids really enjoyed that!! Here are some pictures from our trip to the Barn!

That huge cow had a gigantic tongue....he just put that thing right out there to get the food from us, he was so gentle.....but that tongue was crazy!!
There goes Kenzy, trying to take off her shoes......she is either changing her shoes or taking them off......silly girl! The kids had so much fun climbing this tree while we waited for the hay ride to the apple orchards that I decided to take a picture.....but we couldn't see Jaxson's face very well, so he decided to hang from the branch so I could see him better!!! My little monkey!
The kids couldn't resist.....they each had to have one to eat! Nik was polishing his with his shirt before he ate it!! A trick Uncle Mike taught him!!
Eric thought it would be fun to pick the apples all the way at the very top of a tree, so Mike held the rickety ladder they had there and he picked away.....And here is a picture of Cooper, Nik, Jax, and Kenzy on the hay ride ready to go back to the Barn for some homemade ice-cream....and boy was it good!!!
It was an awesome trip....we couldn't wait to go back for the hay maze, and pumpkin picking for Halloween!
