Spanish Fork Rodeo

Tuesday July 21st, we took a trip to Utah for the rodeo! Yee Haw!!!

We made our first stop in Las Vegas to visit my sister....Titi!!!! We stayed at the Circus Circus Hotel.....they have really changed this hotel!! There is a huuuuuge amuzement park type place in the hotel itself...it is called Adventuredome! Wow, the kids would've loved to have stayed there for a week if not longer!!

Nik and Jax took Daddy and went on a Spongebob virtual tour, then the boys went on a roller coaster ride! They were screaming and laughing the whole time! Kenzy and I went on a balloon ride too!! She was a little afraid, because we were up so high, but then when the ride ended she DID NOT want to get off!!!!

We met my sister for dinner and then we went to see Dancing Waters at the Bellagio Hotel! My kids looooove watching the waters shoot up to music! ( we do too!!!)

Here is a picture of us and the kids with Titi!!!
We had a ton of fun with Titi, we miss her tons, we wish we could see her more!!!

The next day, we drove the rest of the way to Utah! The kids are such good travelers....thanks to a huge tv that Eric put in my car!!! It makes road trips that much easier!
When we got to my cousins Eric and Lori's house, they mentioned that there was a carnival going on to celebrate pioneer days, so off we went!!!

Pic 1:Here goes Daddy with Kenzy down on a super slippery slide!
Pic 2:Nik and cousin Sumerlyn on a ride!
Pic 3:Jax and Kenzy on a ride too!
While we were in Utah...we went to the Oquirrah Temple Open House in West Jordan! But, before we left, Nikolas and Jaxson got in a little piano lesson from my cousin Eric! Then, Nik gave Eric a lesson on how to play one of his favorite songs too!!!!

We started out the next day by going to the Spanish Fork parade! The kids were so excited to catch candy from some of the floats!!! We are not used to small town living! It was pretty interesting to see all of the kids running out into the street to get candy and see the floats close up! They would never allow that here where we live!!
Here we are in our freedom clothes!!!! Kenzy was so excited to get some taffy!! And these jeeps were awesome! They totally drove up on one another, the boys just sat there saying "wow, that is cool"!!!! It was a ton of fun!!

Before we went to the rodeo we had a little bbq at my Aunt Clarice's house in Benjamin! The kids had so much fun playing with their cousins, and jumping on the trampoline!

Here is Eric bouncing the kids-almost right off the trampoline!! And here is Jax pulling Kenzy and her cousin Chloe! The kids put water in this wagon, that is why the girls are in their diapers!! It was so hot!

My aunt took us over to one of her neighbors' houses-The Urmston Family- to show us their horses, but then we saw that she had more than just horses!!!!! They had a sheep, that I think thought it was a dog, a rat, a couple dogs, chickens-Kenzy got to pick up their layed eggs-a huuuuge bird and 4 kids on top of that!!!! This was a very fun and busy house!! I wished we would've been able to stay longer!

Pic 1&2:The kids feeding the horses with their cousin Sterling Pic 3:Kenzy gathering the chicken eggs into her little basket!

Here are the kids riding on one of their horses! They did not want to get off! They were having so much fun!
Pic 1: The huge bird! Pic 2: The sheep, that thinks she is a dog!! Pic 3: The rat climbing out of Nik's sleeve!! Brave boy!
The Urmston's built a new house next to their old house, which is right next door, and decided to spray paint the old one, so Kaitlyn-their oldest daughter showed the boys how to spray paint a house!!!! It took awhile to get that paint off of their hands!!!! But they had a blast doing it!
That night we went to the Spanish Fork Rodeo! It was extremely windy, but we still had a great time!
Here we are in our cowboy attire! And here is Kenzy with her cousin Hunter! (My cousin Sarah put Kenzy's hair in a ton if little pony tails...she looked so cute, but the wind was blowing her hair so much that all of the pony tails that were attached together came apart!)
The next day, before we started making our way back home, my cousin Eric and his family took us to a little stream down the street from their house! The water was super cooooooold!
Pic 1:My cousin, Eric was brave to put his feet, let alone hold Kenzy, in the water!
Pic 2:Here is a picture of Nik, Jax, Hunter, Sterling, and Sumerlyn standing in the cold creeky water! Pic 3: Eric and Lori, with their kids Hunter, Sterling and Sumerlyn!
Here we are the five of us!!! And our awesome kids! When I saw this picture blown up, I couldn't believe how big Kenzy looked! Where does the time go?
We had only left one hour prior to make our way back home, and as you can see, Jax was completely out, Kenzy was about to fall asleep with her baby, and Nik was playing his DS!
On our way home, we stopped for the night in Mesquite. At dinner, Eric was brave enough to eat a clam, and Jax did not want to part with the shell! He is such a funny boy!
We were happy stop in Las Vegas again to see Titi for a little bit before heading the rest of the way home!
When we got home, I tried on the best purchase I have made for Makenzy yet........her squeeker shoes!!!!! They are the best! You definetly can't lose her in a crowd!!!!
We had such an awesome trip to Utah! We were very grateful to be able to stay with cousins that we don't get to see very often! We are looking forward to our next trip up there!
