Eric rides the BMX track with Nik!

This past Saturday, Nikolas raced------he made it to the mains, but during the final race, he was up on one of the hills in second place and got pushed over a little by the kid behind him, he clipped out just in time, but was very shaky and couldn't clip back in, in time to catch up with the front runners. We were very proud of Nik during this race.....he started out in the front and would've finished Second if it weren't for dirty racers! We were mostly proud of him for finishing the race even though he was a little shaken by what had happened.

Awhile ago, Eric thought it would be cool to get a bmx cruiser, so that he could ride with Nik on the track, and maybe lose a little weight while doing it! He wouldn't race, just practice with Nik before or after races. So, after Nik's uncomfortable race, Eric and Katie's Dad, Ed, decided to take to the track! Eric was in the lead.......UNTIL........he was going around the last turn and his front tire completely came out from underneath him and he hit the dirt HARD. So so so scary.....he got back up, finished the track....and totally fell near a tree to catch his breath. Still today he is very very sore.....he thinks he has a cracked rib, but of course refuses to go to the doctor! He has some scratches on his legs and a bigger scratch/rode rash on his left arm from skidding on it when he fell, but overall he is recovering and feeling better! He says it's still hard to breathe a little and lift his arms in the air.....so hopefully that will get better soon too!!!
